Without revealing the question that serves as the keystone for my film, I want to share with you what guides me. I wrote this mission statement for myself years ago and have edited it every few years. It still inspires me to expand.
My intention is to create in every way I can to help myself and others wake up to feel the expansiveness of life. We have the freedom whether or not to be awake to life’s choices.
Too often though, I find myself escaping or falling asleep. Life becomes distant, colors dim, emotions become foggy. The wrong things gain priority. Asleep, life can still feel okay; it can even seem normal when looking around, but then something inevitably shakes me free, and I feel again. The vibrancy of life comes rushing back—colors, textures, the beauty in everything, love of everyone, compassion for myself, emotional truth, the resilience of us all. In those moments, I feel great clarity and joy. I can live more of my life there. I only have to choose it, make space, and allow it . . . again and again.
My intention is to inspire the choice. My intention is to encourage. I want us to heal. I want to heal. I am healing. We are always healing and expanding.
